Mo Abudu has opened EbonyLife Place London, a cultural venue combining cinema, a restaurant and a boutique for African and diaspora designers. Euronews reports today on how the project aims to give those stories greater visibility in the British capital.

Discovering a city through its stories

A cinema can also be a cultural stop on a trip. This project connects with BeroIT because it brings together films, places and ways to discover different perspectives. We get to know a city better when we make room for its stories as well as its monuments.

The BeroIT perspective

I am interested in cinema that broadens what we usually watch. I would explore the programme and choose a film that introduces me to a different context. Afterwards, I would make time to discuss it: a journey also continues in the ideas we take home.
